The Evacuation Chair is designed to help get those with mobility impairments to safety in the case of an emergency. In an emergency situation such as a fire, the elevators will be out of use, meaning the stairs must be taken to exit the building. The Evac+Chair ensures that everyone has the ability to get to safety, including those who could otherwise not use the stairs.
For our commercial customers, we recommend having an Evacuation Chair on every floor that does not have a direct exit out of the building. A good evacuation protocol isn't enough unless EVERYONE has the opportunity to get out of the building safely, and quickly.
